This hat is specially worn for the well-known Pfingstritt (Whitsun Ride) pilgrimage in Bad Kötzting. On Whit Monday, the men ride from Bad Kötzting to Steinbühl to continue the old tradition every year.

Pfingstreiter shape, black wool felt with silk ribbon and matching silk ribbon trim. Gold-yellow tassel trim, cotton stretch inner band, red silk lining.
